EP Waste Management’s hazardous waste management program ensures the safe management of hazardous waste from the “cradle to the grave”. EP Waste Management’s services provide you with superior value with fast turnaround. Many of the regulations were developed more than three decades ago, so it is important that EP Waste Management ensures to effectively protect human health and the environment into the future. Our highly trained employees’ primary goal is to provide flawless service.
The regulations were developed primarily for industrial and manufacturing settings, but apply to any non-household facility generating and managing hazardous waste—including some facilities that may surprise people. For example, hospitals, schools, and retail stores all generate hazardous waste and are subject to the regulations. However, because these types of facilities aren’t industrial in nature, sometimes the design of the hazardous waste regulations can pose compliance challenges.
What is Hazardous-waste?
The collection, treatment, and disposal of waste material that, when improperly handled, can cause substantial harm to human health and safety or to the environment. Hazardous wastes can take the form of solids, liquids, sludge’s, or contained gases, and they are generated primarily by chemical production, manufacturing, and other industrial activities. They may cause damage during inadequate storage, transportation, treatment, or disposal operations. Improper hazardous-waste storage or disposal frequently contaminates surface and groundwater supplies.
Hazardous waste disposal phases:
Phase 1, Approving the Hazardous waste stream for disposal
This involves accurately identifying and classifying the Hazardous waste type and determining the safe treatment and disposal methods needed.
Also determined in this phase is the handling instructions and transporting methods. This is achieved with Full 16 point MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) and sample analysis in world class labs. Only after the approval phase can the costing be determined.
Phase 2, Safe handling and transportation from the generator site to the disposal site
Safe handling and transportation methods are achieved after the Hazardous waste stream has been approved through intense analysing, testing and classifying into one of nine classes in accordance to phase 1.

Accurately labeling, Handling and transporting any waste stream are the specialty of EP Waste Management.
Phase 3, Disposal at the disposal site
Expected volumes are required before disposal can commence as the safe disposal and treatment methods can change due to the amount of Hazardous waste disposed in one area at a given time. Disposal has to occur within 24 hours of booking and samples are taken of the loads to ensure the same waste steams is being disposed as what was approved, without any discrepancies.
Hazardous waste made affordable with EP Waste Management:
The surest way to boost Hazardous waste affordability is to ensure that the waste stream approval phase is completed and done quickly. The “Red Tape” can very easily prolong the approval phase and drive costs up, until eventually even putting a stop the process. The Industrial and Commercial Industries spend an enormous amount of money in the Waste stream approval phase and then ultimately “drop out” because of the costs and time involved, never completing this phase. Through EP Waste management, the approval phase costs are almost nullified and the process can be done in as short as three working days.
EP Waste Management streamline Hazardous waste:
EP Waste Management takes all the frustrating processes out of the hands of the hazardous waste Generator by only requesting a 500g/ml Sample and full 16 point MSDS. Approximately three working days later the Hazardous waste generator is presented with full approval and costing proposal, an easy two step process.
EP Waste Management provides all legally required documentation and certificates:
